As a socially responsible company, OTE has been supporting climate protection and the fulfilment of environmental goals for a long time, through its approach to the environment and activities related to the reduction of carbon dioxide production. Supporting the production of electricity from renewable energy sources through its certified consumption is one of the means to achieve these goals.

OTE continues to fulfil its strategy of responsible behaviour towards society and the environment by covering its own consumption of electricity from renewable sources. This is evidenced by the Cancellation Statement related to Guarantees of Origin, by which the electricity supplier confirms that the electricity it supplied in 2023 came exclusively from renewable sources. At the same time, OTE agreed with its supplier to supply electricity from renewable sources also in 2024.

"The area of social responsibility and ecological sustainability is one of the key topics of our company. This is one of the reasons why we support the production of electricity that contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and climate protection. The purchase of green electricity is one of how our company can contribute to this goal," says the chairman of the board of OTE Ing. Michal Puchel.
