SDAC: Harmonised maximum clearing price to be set to +4,000 EUR/MWh from 10th May
In line with the Harmonised Maximum and Minimum Clearing Prices (HMMCP) Methodology in accordance with Article 41(1) of Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1222 of 24th July 2015
(CACM Regulation), the harmonised maximum clearing price for Single Day-Ahead Coupling
(SDAC) will be increased by 1,000 EUR/MWh to +4 000 EUR/MWh as of 10th May 2022.
This decision to increase the maximum clearing price follows the high prices of 2,712.99 and 2,987.78 EUR/MWh reached on 3rd April 2022 in France, in hours 8 and 9, respectively. The clearing price thus exceeded a value of 60 per cent of the harmonised maximum clearing price for SDAC, which is, according to the above-mentioned methodology, a precondition for this change.
