Companies BOHEMIA ENERGY entity s.r.o., COMFORT ENERGY s.r.o., Energie ČS, a.s., Europe Easy Energy a.s., and X Energie, s.r.o. have lost the possibility to supply electricity
Pursuant to Regulation No. 408/2015 Coll., on the Electricity Market Rules, the Market Operator announces that from October 13, 2021, it shall suspend all activities on its systems due to the loss of the possibility to supply electricity for the following companies:
BOHEMIA ENERGY entity s.r.o., IČ 27386732, EAN 8591824094006,
COMFORT ENERGY s.r.o., IČ 28393538, EAN 8591824313008,
Energie ČS, a.s., IČ 24256692, EAN 8591824668207,
Europe Easy Energy a.s., IČ 28603001, EAN 8591824493304,
X Energie, s.r.o., IČ 24817872, EAN 8591824573709
upon notification by these companies, which the Market Operator received on the 13. 10. 2021 at 4:30 p.m.
In line with Section 59 of the Market Rules, registered market participants can submit a request for a quick change of supplier via the Market Operator’s information system until 13. 10. 2021 24:00. Customers who won’t change their supplier by this time will be provided with electricity supplies by the Supplier of Last Resort.
The Supplier of Last Resort (SLR) serves as a way to protect customers in case of any supplier’s failure to operate. An SLR steps in immediately after such an incident and customers can use the SLR as an interim supplier for a maximum of 6 months. During this time the customer should select a new proper supplier and switch to it without any restrictions. Even if a customer had a fixed-term contract with the original supplier, this will not be valid with the SLR.
The Market Operator is following the national legislation in force, with the aim to minimize the negative impact of such events on the electricity market.
