Reporting of wholesale market transactions according to the Regulation (EU) No 1227/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency (Regulation REMIT)

Regulation REMIT will trigger new obligations for the market participants, among others the obligation to report records of trade and fundamental data to the European database managed by Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER). The obligation to report data admitted to trading at Organised Market Places will be in force as from 7th October 2015, the obligation to report bilateral wholesale energy contracts will be in force as from 7th April 2016.

In accordance with the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 1348/2014 on data reporting implementing Article 8(2) and Article 8(6) of Regulation REMIT OTE, a.s., has been registered as Organised Market Place with Agency ACER as of 27 October 2014.

Based on the Implementing Regulation OTE, a.s. requested to be certified as RRM - Registered Reporting Mechanism for the reporting of business data at Agency ACER on 20 January 2015 and subsequently will register the products traded on OTE’s organized power and gas markets. In the meantime, ongoing organizational and technical preparations for implementation of reporting mechanism in CS OTE which ensure reliable and secure transmission of business data on behalf of market participants into the European database ARIS.
